Nillion: Introduction to an Unhackable Decentralized Network
Thank you for attending our Nillion event, co-hosted with the Cambridge Blockchain Society
The event was co-hosted by the Cambridge Blockchain Society and CUTEC.
On Monday, we heard from the co-founders and inventors of the Nillion technology, Miguel de Vega and Andrew Masanto.
The technology behind Nillion is termed NMC, named after Nill, Message, Compute. In today’s talk, we learned about the advantages of this decentralized network for storing, utilizing, and computing sensitive information without holding the underlying data.
The concept behind the technology is a relatively well-known idea in the industry, called SMPC (Secure Multivariate Computation). Nillion aims to disrupt companies that store secure personal data like 1password, last-pass, and DocuSign. Use cases for the technology will be targeted at cryptocurrency users, businesses, governments and consumers.
Since this was the very first time for Nillion to go public with information relating to their technology, CUTEC was very proud to be a part of this journey! 💪
We are excited for the release of Nillion’s white paper this Friday!
